I was on the verge of ordering an Android phone many months ago when the rumour broke that Microsoft was going to launch Windows Phone 7 with Xbox Live support by the end of 2010. It was that point that I put any upgrade plans on hold and after watching the embedded video I’m really glad I waited.
The platform promises achievements on the go with up to 200 GamerScore per title just like on Xbox Live Arcade. You’ll also be able to view your friends list (along with their online status), achievements unlocked and even amend your Avatar.
Check out the official Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7 page for a list of upcoming launch titles. Or if you’re keen to read more, why not head on over to the excellent Engadget review of Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7.
I pre-ordered Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions for Xbox 360 to get an unlock code for Spider-Man’s Negative Zone Noir costume. I figured it would be, as most pre-order content, to be DLC with a one-time use Redeem Code.
It turns out, the Spider-Man costumes are merely unlocked using in-game controller codes akin to the Konami Code. This means that there was no need to pre-order the title as its available to all.
I’ve given a list of the codes required to unlock the various costumes. Play through the Tutorial first, then back out of the Level Select Screen to access the Main Menu.
Unlock Iron Spider Costume (2099 Levels):
Up, Right, Right, Right, Left, Left, Left, Down, Up
Unlock Scarlet Spider Costume:
Right, Up, Left, Right, Up, Left, Right, Up, Left, Right
Unlock Negative Zone Suit (Noir Levels):
Left, Right, Right, Down, Right, Down, Up, Left
